Dingy Beginnings

The whistle blew and another day had begun.  Like so many, Jaka was shoved about and pushed out of his pile of rags he slept upon.  This was all in the name of his family that he had not seen in years, and it became his daily life.  Having been shipped off to this factory at an early age, he was given up just to gain a bit of currency to support his parents.  In these days, he forgot what they did look like.  It was a sad fact, but the young man persevered in spite of it.  The thoughts of home and some vague arms around him, warm, safe were what made him trudge through the day.
